We're all in search of similar things: the meaning of life, our other half, cheap flights... and of course, a trusted hair stylist (slash miracle worker). Yelp knows that finding a spot to get your 'do did can be hairy business. We've known the terrors of the over-processed tresses, the crooked bang trim and the badly-executed bobs. For the sake of your locks, we've compiled some of Miami's best salons, so you won't have to rock a fedora to cover up a nasty cut.

Want "to redeem your hair from status quo to cool?" For a change from the "same old same old to a (French or Italian) Vogue-worthy" look, Ginger H puts her trust in Todd Jameson at Nue. Adriana D knows "there is nothing as simple as a good haircut to boost confidence," which is why she heads to Andy's for million-dollar feel, thanks to "the amazing shampoo experience, attention to detail with coloring, and wizardry with the scissors." Meanwhile, it's the talented stylists, rockin' music, complimentary espressos, and juicy mags that keep Elizabeth V coming back and referring friends to Contesta.

For "knockout highlights on a budget," Annie C calls on color guru Janeth Ocampo, of Janeth's Grotto. For a fantastically "drastic makeover," Lourdes W put her locks in the hands of Van Michael's Sunday team of New Talent stylists. But imagine, if you can, a killer haircut for a mere $12. Judy N's "faith in the students" at the Aveda Institute paid off with some seriously sexy snipping. Skeptical? You could always splurge on the $18 Master Student cut. Shear genius!

How about dem fellas? John W searched far and wide for a barbershop and found his match in 1940s throwback Razzle Dazzle in Coral Gables. "No matter who you are, you are treated like a king for the half-hour to hour you spend in the chair. The cuts are great and the shaves are wonderfully refreshing." Greg A prefers his shave and a style with a side of luxury: At Miles and Lyle, "the waiting room is equipped with a leather couch, satellite TV, an internet workstation, a coffeemaker, and male-oriented mags. Haircuts are done in private rooms with nice, soft leather barber chairs with built-in massagers, and every stylist always takes their time to make sure the job is done right." Remember folks, you're only as good as your last haircut.
