Join us on October 24 for the Most Spectacular NWS Evening of the Year!‏

It is my distinct pleasure to invite you to one of the highlights of the 2009/2010 New World Symphony Season.

Join us as the orchestra performs one of the greatest pieces of music of all time, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, on October 24 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. A truly monumental work, Beethoven’s 9th has been used to represent countries at the Olympics, in Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange, and in numerous other applications in popular media.

Master Chorale of South Florida, University of Miami Frost Chorale and four renowned vocal soloists will join Michael Tilson Thomas and NWS on stage, resulting in more than 200 performers for one of the most spectacular concerts of the year.

The performance will be followed by a lush post-performance bash at the nearby Marquis Condominium, 3rd floor Luxe Lounge. There will be a live musical performance at the After Hours, featuring The Green Room, classified as “Rock a la U2 meets Franz Ferdinand meets Muse.” The show will be one part DJ, one part original classical music, and 1 part rock, all in one stage, all in one night, and all in one performance. The guests will also enjoy FREE VALET PARKING at the Marquis, open bar and lite bites.

Friends Concert tickets range from $25-$79. After Hours members get a 10 percent discount, VIP members get complimentary tickets (and a 20 percent discount on additional ticket purchases). Call the box office at 305-673-3331 to buy your concert tickets.

For the After Hours event, please RSVP to friendsRSVP at nws.edu, no later than Thursday, October 22nd.
