WDNA 88.9 FM presents the Florida Premiere of "Anita O'Day, The Life of a Jazz Singer" to open the Miami Jazz Film Festival. Anita O'Day, one of the world's great jazz singers, performed at the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival, a performance that was chronicled in the movie "Jazz on a Summer Day" and was a highlight of her long career. This film includes footage from that famous performance and covers her influence from swing through bebop. Meet Director Ian McCrudden and Producer Melissa Davis who will be in attendance.

As an on-campus art gallery, the Lowe Art Museum has found the perfect balance between art, music and spirits. The museum's monthly LoweDown has made a name for itself by bringing the party to the art. This month's Happy Hour promises its guests an Asian Experience in one night. The event will feature a tour of Clay and Brush: The Ceramic Art of China with Lowe Director Brian Dursum, along with light Chinese foods and cocktails compliments of Bacardi. Free for Lowe members; $5 for non-members.
