Great prices on deisgner items

Due to last weeks great response I am going to try and send out weekly updates which should be easy with all the mending time I have on my hands. The surgeon gave me a good report today and said he could tell that I had followed orders by relaxing and keeping the ankle elevated. I smiled and told him it’s been great for productivity.

The holiday season is fast approaching and now is the time to sell and think about needs for the party season. If you have designer shoes, clothes, belts and handbags that you would like to sell and turn into extra cash I would be delighted to handle the transaction. I usually do pick ups but until my cast comes off I would ask that you drop your items off. I do live in a door manned building centrally located near the Bal Harbour shops.

HIGHLIGHTS OF LAST WEEKS AUCTION CLOSINGS:

Chanel black bowler $1,000

Chloe Taupe Paddington handbag $485

Miu Miu brown platform sandals $85

Prada silver evening bag $225

Louis Vuitton vintage Noe bag $325

Prada Pushlock microfiber (5 + years old) $220

CURRENTLY AVAILABLE:

Gucci vintage bamboo handle tote bag $425

Gucci black pleated shoulder hobo $195

Tory Burch Black quilted sling back ballet flats size 7 ½ $185

Casadei soft pink strappy sandals size 37 ½ $99

Sergio Rossi black strappy sandal size 35 ½ $75

Sergio Rossi cream Opus shell sandal size 35 $75

Additional photos available for all items. Shoes are new in the box or in like new condition (worn once).

Lots of Love and Peace

Jersey Girls- best in the world-- from Daily Candy

Jersey Girls
Laurie Lester Knits Collection

You sprung for the deluxe cable package (life without Big Love is utterly meaningless) and when it comes to vacationing, it’s the superior room or bust (nothing says relaxation like a Jacuzzi tub with an iPod dock).

Getting back to basics has never really fit into your plan. Then again, no one (not even you) can have a closet consisting solely of gold pants and corset tops.

Create some balance with a few pieces by local designer Lorie Lester. Her classic knits go from lunch date to hot date without making you look like an elementary school teacher. On the contrary, Lester’s designs are inspired by her hometown, which means you’ll be showing plenty of skin while remaining totally comfy.

Stock up on pieces like the high-neck, low-back jersey dress in purple; cream bubble mini; and, of course, the little black dress.

It may just be the one to change your basic instinct.

Available by e-mail order (info@lorielester.com). Select styles available at Univ, 100 Collins Avenue, suites 2 and 3 (305-534-3511); Julian Chang, 6667 Biscayne Boulevard (305-751-8900). To see styles, go to lorielester.com.

You know any Cool Florida boutiques that host Do-It-Yourself classes?

I’m writing a feature on “Cool Florida boutiques that host Do-It-Yourself classes (under the guise that people might be able to come here to hand-make their own holiday gifts).” For example, a stylish knitting store that hosts a class on how to knit a scarf or mittens; or a stationery store that has sessions on how to make cool notecards; a pottery store that teaches you to make a set of dessert plates, etc.

Do you have any stores/programs/classes to recommend? If so, send a description, the time classes are offered (if applicable), the price and the address/phone/website of the store that offers this kind of thing. Already have Art Center South Florida and Color Me Mine, so please send others :)

Thank you!

burch bal harbour.
socialite of the moment (and lance armstrong's lady) tory burch has a little, eponymous line of clothing you may have seen.
