Great new Indonesian restaurant Indomania opened on 26th and Collins and we had a GREAT Algonuin dinner there last week (Thanks for planning Rebecca!). Great ambiance and food... It took me back to Bali-- just missing the Aussie surfers...


Dutch/Indonesian new arrival, Indomania. Owners Pieter and Ineke. Indomania is located at 131 26th Street (btwn Collins and the Beach) and there is ample metered parking in the lot at 28th and Collins (or on the street). http://www.indomaniarestaurant.com/.

Appetizers: Lumpia (a crispy vegetarian spring roll)
Fricadell Jagung (corn cake with a chili/lime dipping sauce)
Satay (either lamb, grilled prawn or marinated fried tofu and tempeh)
Entree: The Indonesian Rijsstafel (Ricetable) is a big dish that includes all of the below ingredients in one plate.

Nasi Putih (steamed rice)
Ayam Opor (chicken in a tasty coconut sauce)
Daging Semur (stewed beef in kecap sauce)
Telor Besegnek (egg in curry sauce)
Sambal G Buncis (crispy spicy green beans)
Atjar Ketimoen (sweet and sour cucumber)
Sateh Ayam (grilled chicken on skewer)
