WLRN Under the Sun

Dear Under the Sun friends and family,

We're excited to announce two upcoming live events. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll get a sneak peak at our upcoming show, funded by the Florida Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

An Evening Under the Sun at 8 pm on Thursday, June 18, at Books & Books, 265 Aragon Avenue in Coral Gables. The event is a sneak preview that plays like a public radio show, an exclusive taste of Under the Sun's June 27-28 episode exploring South Florida's rich and varied literary terrain. The evening will feature live interviews, readings, an animation premiere, and hosts Dan Grech and Alicia Zuckerman.

Next up, we showcase our unpublished writers competition at our event Write Under the Sun at 2:30 pm on Sunday, June 21, at Hollywood branch of the Broward Public Library, 2600 Hlwd Blvd. in Hollywood. Children, college students and adult winners and runners-up will read their poetry and short fiction.

Our next episode of Under the Sun will air Saturday, June 27 at noon and Sunday, June 28 at 7 pm.

So mark you calendars (we suggest pen not pencil):
