Opera Gallery is hosting a cocktail reception to celebrate the opening of “Made in Latin America, a richly diverse exhibition of master painters and sculptors, and to honor International Kids Fund (IKF), a program of Jackson Memorial Foundation that provides medical care to needy children from around the world. A percentage of the sale of artwork purchased during the evening will benefit IKF. Made in Latin America runs through August 31st and highlights these important artists: Cuban modernist Wilfredo Lam, Uruguayan op-artist Diego Masi, Chilean Surrealist Roberto Matta, Post-modern artist Antonio Segui, Ruben Berland and his mystical Cuban landscapes; and perhaps the most widely recognized artist Fernando Botero whose round figures have become legendary. ARTS BALLET THEATRE OF FLORIDA PRESENTS SUMMER INTENSIVE PROGRAM
CLASSICAL BALLET SEMINAR OF RUSSIAN TECHNIQUE
July 2nd to July 28
The program has been designed to provide serious students ages 10 to 22 with a complete dance-training program. There are four levels of study available; Intermediate I, Intermediate 2, Advanced and Pre-Professional. The curriculum includes a complete dance-training program for both male and female students who will be able to receive a unique approach to authentic, traditional Russian ballet training with the finest Russian teachers.
