Bar Rosso Restaurant & Vinoteca Opens
A quest to buy panties in Aventura can seem like an odyssey of Homeric proportions.
Which is why Bar Rosso, a relaxing neighborhood enoteca, is such a welcome arrival (and departure — from the megabrand mayhem).
There’s no comparing notes about red currant or mossy peat at the easygoing wine bar, just good juice from upward of 100 bottles (80 percent Italian), plus the option to “socialize by the glass” with three-ounce piccolo and nine-ounce quartino pours.
Sample more than a dozen piccolini (crispy artichokes, braised clams, beef carpaccio, calamari linguine), wood-grilled entrees (colossal shrimp with tomato and horseradish, lamb with pistachio gremolata), pastas, and daily seasonal specials.
Visitors will have to choose between the tavern-like indoor space (complete with jukebox) and the outdoor patio.
An epic decision.
