Children's Etiquette Classes- Daily Candy

Children’s Etiquette Classes

In China, burping at the table is considered a compliment to the chef.

But in the States, pick up the wrong fork and you might be the one skewered.

If you believe the well-mannered children are our future, send them to The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove’s etiquette lunch. Suzanne Willis, founder of Mimi’s Manners, will teach your 6- to 12-year-old to be the perfect dinner guest, from proper introductions and dinner chat to writing thank-you notes (and, of course, when to use which fork).

With dishes like wild mushroom bisque, Moroccan dry rub roasted chicken, and s’mores double chocolate cheesecake, little ones are sure to clean their plates.

It’d be rude not to.

Classes take place at Bizcaya Restaurant in The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, 3300 Southwest 27th Avenue. For reservations, call 305-644-4675. First class is November 17, noon-2 p.m.
