Books & Books 25th Anniversary Celebration
Saturday, October 13 from 7 to 10 p.m.
Mitchell Kaplan, owner of Books & Books, is being honored by the Miami-Dade Public Library Foundation for his support of literacy and the Public Library System. Join 50 of Miami's leading local authors, savor delicacies from some of South Florida's finest restaurants, cocktails from Bacardi and great live music. Lee Standiford, author of "Last Train to Paradise" and director of creative writing at FIU, will serve as emcee at this benefit for the Library System's Literacy Program. Tickets are $50.
