Good Times at the Miami Bridge
Come spend an evening at the Miami Bridge shelter for runaway teens. Activities include ping-pong, board games, or arts and crafts. Your visit will truly make a difference in the lives of these teens! Volunteers must be 21 years and older. (6-7 volunteers) (project #9)

Community Threads
Grab your knitter looms, needles, crochet materials and join us in making hats and scarves for individuals undergoing cancer treatment at The Wellness Community in Greater Miami. The Wellness Community provides free psychological and emotional support for people with cancer and their families. Experienced and non-skilled knitters are welcomed to participate-no experience needed! Volunteers must bring their own materials. This project is open to active and pending volunteers. Family-friendly: minimum age with an adult is 16. (8- 10 volunteers) *A new volunteer orientation will be held prior to the project at 6:30pm.The project itself begins at 7:00pm. (project #29)

Hang Time
"Hang out" with the kids at Regis House, a program for teens who have become involved with the juvenile justice system. Activities include playing cards, games, and just having fun. If you'd like to be a role model for some great kids, this is your project! (2-6 volunteers) (project #10)

MDCPS Needs Tutors!
Volunteers will work along side a MDCPS teacher assisting children in grades K-5th grade with their homework and educational activities and games. This is an excellent opportunity for students to give back to their community and make a difference in the lives of children who are far behind in school and need additional help to succeed in school. Minimum age to volunteer is 17.

Miami's Stand Up to Make Poverty History Event
As part of ONE's ongoing efforts to raise public awareness about the issues of global poverty, hunger, disease and their initiatives in working with such problems in the world's poorest countries, Stand Up, offers an opportunity to gather and learn about ways that we can make a difference together.
What: The evening will feature the exciting music of; Locos por Juana, Universal Citizens, The Jazz Cats, and others, fair trade artisans, community networking and an information tent of resources offering ways in which to become more involved both locally and globally in addressing these issues
