Here In Miami, a town with a notorious reputation in the business for the underwhelming theatrical box office performance of specialty films, what has worked in the past and what does the future hold? Don Chauncey, founder and past Board President of the Alliance for Media Arts, whose “Alliance Cinema” on Lincoln Road was an important and much missed art-house pioneer in Miami, as well as the Director of the Wolfson Florida Moving Image Archive



Dana Keith, whose Miami Beach Cinematheque has recently upgraded to High Definition projection, with movie files downloaded through broadband connection, as part of the Emerging Cinemas network, in collaboration with the leading digital distributor in the U.S., Emerging Pictures


Roy Meyeringh, Director of Multiplatform Content Distribution for Venevision International, where he is in charge of internet and other distribution strategies for one of the leading purveyors of Spanish-language film and television



and other special guests to be announced



Panel is at the Miami Beach Cinematheque, 512 Española Way, Miami Beach (one block west of Washington Avenue, between 15th and 14th Streets)


There is no charge for this event



Doors open at 6:15 pm for light refreshments and networking.

On-street metered parking available, as well as public garages on 16th Street between Washington and Collins just three blocks away.



The Entertainment Industry Incubator will be launching new initiatives over the next year designed to provide targeted, practical support for independent filmmaking in South Florida.
