In this rough and tumble world of modern day film distribution, we are constantly being reminded of the industry's shrinking theatrical release opportunities. So for the independent filmmaker - the underdog in a tournament against the Hollywood machine - what is the winning formula for a box-office blowout?

Sean Wolfington, Miami-based film financier and executive producer of Bella, and Robin Cowie, entrepreneur and producer of The Blair Witch Project, reveal the secrets of their multi-million dollar box office successes. Viral marketing tactics, guerrilla campaigns, clever niche marketing, targeted media coverage, unexpected Festival wins, and plain n' simple movie-making magic all played a role in launching these indies into Hollywood hit-land. Learn from these two Florida filmmakers how to create your next runaway indie hit. Impossible is no obstacle.

Presented by the Miami International Film Festival and Entertainment Industry Incubator in collaboration with the Miami Beach Cinematheque
