Live from Main Street Sat July 12

Our friends at the Media Consortium are taping Live From Main Street, a televised town hall event in Miami this coming Saturday, and you are invited!

The town hall will be a unique discussion exploring how Miami communities and grassroots groups are facing the economic crunch and working to build a stronger sustainable city for generations to come.

If you arrive early, you can score a free DVD with all five episodes of our documentary series This Brave Nation, along with Laura Flanders' new book Blue Grit.

Here are the details:

WHAT: "Magic City, Hard Times: How is Miami Facing the Economic Crisis and Working Toward a Sustainable Future?"

Hosted by GRITtv's Laura Flanders and Miami's own WEDR/ 99 JAMZ's Cheryl Mizell, with:

Gihan Perera, Co-founder and Executive Director of the Miami Workers Center.
