From Genart- handbag new designer

Some Bags, Ladies
This emerging talent is changing the meaning of "practical purse".

New York designer Michelle Vale decided to create a line of luxury handbags because like all of us, she was a girl on a quest for the Holy Grail of fashionistas... a bag to complement every outfit in her closet. Thank god she took matters into her own hands, because we're in love with the result: her debut collection.

What has us so wowed? Details that allow for versatility. Customized interchangeable silver and gold chain straps and hardware. Styles like the Travesti bag, which convert from a tote to a shoulder bag to a backpack, depending on where you're headed. Luxurious Italian leather in rich, neutral shades of brown, blue and charcoal. In other words, score just one of her bags and you'll be set for the fall months ahead. Who knew multitasking could look so good?

Michelle just launched her Web site where you can pre-order items for delivery by August 30th, but we recommend that you act fast. The September issue of Lucky just named her one of the Best New Designers Fall 2007, which means these bad boys are going to be flying off the shelves!

RANDOM TANGENT:
What do Michelle Vale and Sweet Land have in common? One is a line we love, the other, a movie about love. If you're one of the first fifty readers who emails us the name of the story that inspired the movie, we'll send you a copy of the DVD.
