"LE CORBUSIER, THE NEW WOMAN, AND DOMESTIC REFORM"—Mary McLeod, professor of architecture at Columbia University, explores the relationship between Le Corbusier's architecture and the emergence of the New Woman in France in the 1920s. Free to members and students; $10 all others.

These films expose contemporary crises. Curated by Barron Sherer and cosponsored by The Jack D. Gordon's Institute for Public Policy and Citizenship Studies' Program in National Security Studies.

THE DEVIL CAME ON HORSEBACK (2006, Annie Sundberg and Ricki Stern, USA/Chad, 85 min, DVD)—Dispatched to Sudan by the African Union, former Marine Captain Brian Steidle is witness to the genocide of black Sudanese civilians in Darfur. Followed by a discussion with professor Richard Olson, FIU Department of Political Science. Free to members and students; $10 all others.
