Made in Latin America exhibition and fundraiser August 15

Made in Latin America

Wednesday, August 15

Opera Gallery is hosting a cocktail reception to celebrate the opening of “Made in Latin America, a richly diverse exhibition of master painters and sculptors, and to honor International Kids Fund (IKF), a program of Jackson Memorial Foundation that provides medical care to needy children from around the world. A percentage of the sale of artwork purchased during the evening will benefit IKF. Made in Latin America runs through August 31st and highlights these important artists: Cuban modernist Wilfredo Lam, Uruguayan op-artist Diego Masi, Chilean Surrealist Roberto Matta, Post-modern artist Antonio Segui, Ruben Berland and his mystical Cuban landscapes; and perhaps the most widely recognized artist Fernando Botero whose round figures have become legendary. For an invitation to the opening reception, call the gallery at 305-868-3337. Pictured: Wilfredo Lam, composition, oil on canvas, 13.8 x 17.7 in.
