GableStage at the Biltmore announces that the opening of BLACKBIRD by David Harrower will NOT take place this Saturday, March 1, 2008. The sudden power outage yesterday (February 26) contributed to serious problems with our lighting and sound equipment, making it impossible for us to complete technical rehearsals while we are waiting for repairs to be made. The matinee at 2pm on Sunday, March 2 is also cancelled.

The play will now open on Thursday, March 6 at 8 pm. We will continue with regular performances on Friday, March 7 at 8 pm, Saturday, March 8 at 8pm and Sunday, March 9 at 2 pm and 7 pm.

We will, of course, accommodate seating changes for everyone who has a reservation for a performance that was cancelled this weekend. We regret any inconvenience this may cause our patrons.
