Upcoming Friends of the New World Symphony Events:



Friday, February 22 - Symphony with a Splash - The night starts off with cocktails at the Lincoln Theatre, followed by a cool Bartok, classical performance. Bartok is described as the “Hendrix of classical music”. The night will continue at a rocking party poolside at the Maxine Lounge at The Catalina Hotel. New World fellow Dustin Budish will have a “rock star improve jam with the uber-fabulous DJ JJ Neil!” You will enjoy Chopin cocktails and a lovely dinner at the After-Party. (Ticket prices for the concert are listed below. The After-Party is complimentary for all Friends members.)



Saturday, March 8 – Friends do NYC, “Satiate” at Touch, New York with DJ Cassidy - Friends of New World Symphony and Appetite Gallery present “Satiate,” at the swanky venue, Touch. Guests will groove to the sexy beats of world-renowned DJ Cassidy, while sipping on complimentary cocktails in a beautiful, modern and ambient setting. The gorgeous venue will have multi-media environments, titled “Love & Senseless,” created by artists Juliana Iriart and Karin Nijelson, of Appetite Gallery.



The highlight of the night will be an eclectic performance by New World Symphony’s World-Class Fellows. The Fellows will perform with sensual vocalist Jette Kelly, followed by an Electronic Fusion with Composer Gabriel Pulido, and finally a rock star improve- jam with DJ Cassidy and Flutist Ebonee Thomas, Electric Violinist Karen Wyatt and Cellist Shira Mann. Friends members receive two VIP tickets at no charge.



Friday, March 28- Symphony Rocks the Runway with Roberto Cavalli - location tba - - Friends of NWS, Sak’s Fifth Avenue and Roberto Cavalli will present a runway show with New World Fellows “Rocking the Runway.” Envision a DJ spinning, models prancing and electric violins, trumpets, drums, flutes making beautiful music to truly make this show extraordinary. This will be the highlight event of Winter Music Conference, at a venue that is guaranteed to blow you away.



Saturday, May 10- Symphony in the Sand at Gansevoort South Beach Club - Symphony in the Sand is back. This time the party and performance will be featured at the beautiful white sand garden of Hotel Gansevoort. Guests will enjoy an evening under the starts, picnic blankets, champagne and more. The show will be “Unplugged” and is a “Story Teller’s Format,” bringing back crowd favorites and featuring new national and local artists. The show will showcase classical favorites, reggae, Indie Rock, and a more.
