Special events roles--
Telemundo Scenery Department will be involved with several major events in which our department designs, builds and constructs sets for such events as the Latin Billboards, Pepsi Musica, Novela original production and other client requests. We have temporary entry-level opportunities both full-time and part-time in the following areas:

4-TECHNICAL DESIGNER:
- Executes plans for construction of sets, draws blueprints, produces computer aided design utilizing AUTO CAD and Vector Works from the drawings and designs of the production designer.
- Needs to have the required drawing skills in drafting with a good base in design, especially architectural drawing.
- Having a good knowledge of design and enjoy doing research in all information relating to visual looks for future designs.
- This is an area that requires an apprenticeship in artistic fields. Attend art school or get a degree in theater arts.
- Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish.
- Must have the ability to work overtime.


5-SEAMSTRESS/SEAMSTER/DRESSOR:
- Provide construction of drapery, upholstery or other fabric related work.
- Must have strong sewing, measuring, pattern making, and upholstery experience.
- They should be able to work on location and in the sewing shop.
- Should have experience with the machinery and power tools necessary to carry out their jobs.
- Work with the Set Decorator to assemble and arrange the furniture, window treatment, wall hanging, lamps and props on the set.
- Must have the ability to work overtime.


6-CARPENTER HELPER:
- Assist the Carpenter to complete projects.
- The helper should have basic knowledge of power tools and their safe use.
- Should be able to follow instructions from the carpenter and to anticipate what the next step in the process will be.
- Assist the carpenter in the handling of material, keeping the workspace clean, keeping the tools maintained in working order, and advising the carpenter of need for supplies.
- The helper must have the ability to perform physical labor including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
- Provide general paint and prep work for scenery, furniture, and general painting.
- Painting experience with the ability to work with a variety of mediums and surfaces is needed.
- Able to work from ladders and scaffold as needed
- Must be able to work overtime.


7-Stage Hand
- Build/Construct, maintain, and service scenery, stages, and sets, for shows, projects, and special events, for the Telemundo Network and businesses.
- Must be able to support production crews when taping, acting as secondary production support and primary scenery representative before, during, and after show tapings.
- Must possess good verbal skills in Spanish and be able to take direction or work independently as needed.
- May act as liaison between show crew/production support and scenery manager/supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Must be able to, but not limited to, carry heavy objects.
- Bending, reaching, squatting, crawling, climbing ladders, and standing for long periods of time, may all be required duties.
- Must have a valid Florida Drivers License and operate and drive van weighing 8,000 to 12,000 lbs. Must be able to work required overtime.
- Must be aware of surroundings at all times, identifying potential safety hazards, maintaining a clean and safe work area and environment in compliance with our Environmental Health and Safety regulations.

8-Sr. Production Analyst, Telemundo Television Studios

Job Description:
Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

Under the direction of the Director of Studio Finance, this position is responsible for performing and maintaining the production accounting functions at Telemundo Television Studios. The day-to-day functions include providing cash funding to productions, invoice processing, talent payment and tax withholding processing, 1099 reporting, and month-end closing and consolidation. Additionally, the Sr. Production Accountant is responsible for preparing weekly cost reports, overseeing the weekly VISTA upload, and tracking all development costs and overhead allocations. This position works closely with the production groups to ensure that processes established by the Studio are in place and functioning as designed.



Job Responsibilities:



Management of contract commitments: Acquired licenses, production funding, Talent management, Releasing Payments and follow through of each payment, and Vendor and Talent communication


Management of Specials Production, which includes preparation of Budget approval, forms with MOVIE MAGIC budget, Managing VISTA system and Monthly closing of all production expenses.

IRS withholding, preparing payments and generating 1042 and 1099 forms annually


Financial Planning: Budgeting of a handful of administrative departments which oversee the Specials Productions


Provide a proactive approach to drive process improvements resulting in reduced cost and improve productivity


Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree Accounting or Finance


Minimum 3 years of solid accounting or finance experience in the entertainment industry preferably with a participation background
