BAA Supports earth Hour 2009 Fw: Earth Hour 2009 in Miami March 28, 2009‏

Join the City of Miami- Earth Hour 2009- March 28, 2009 at 8:30 p.m.
On March 28, 2009, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., the City of Miami will join with millions of people around the globe in turning off the lights for one hour -- Earth Hour -- to make a bold statement about climate change.
As a mayor who is greatly concerned about the impacts of climate change, I urge you to participate in Earth Hour by turning off the lights in your homes and office buildings to be part of this monumental unified call for action on climate change.
More than 50 million people switched off their lights for Earth Hour 2008. The lights were turned off at the Empire State Building, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Coliseum in Rome, the Sydney Opera House and here at Miami City Hall. Even Google's home page went dark for the day.
I am proud to say that the City of Miami has been designated an official Flagship City for Earth Hour 2009 by the World Wildlife Fund. I invite you to join the hundreds of cities worldwide that have already agreed to participate in Earth Hour 2009, from Cape Town to Las Vegas, Sydney to Hong Kong.
If you have questions about how you can participate in this event, I invite you to visit http://www.earthhourus.org/action_city.php or reach out to WWFUSA directly through Alyssa Willliams at Alyssa.Williams-consultant at wwfus.org.
I hope you will agree that we want the State of Florida to turn out more lights than any other state in the country during this historic event.
Thank you for your consideration.

Manny
