Arthur Donny Strosberg is a world-renowned scientist and serial entrepreneur. He is currently a Professor of Infectology at the Scripps Research Institute in Florida where he focuses on developing therapeutics based on inhibition of protein-protein interactions.
Professor Strosberg received his doctorate from the Free University of Brussels and did a post-doctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He began his career as an Instructor / Visiting Professor at Harvard Medical School before becoming a Professor of Biochemistry and Immunology in Brussels and in Paris. He has published over 390 scientific articles, and five books. Additionally, he has authored over 20 issued patents of which several were licensed to pharmaceutical companies.
He has co-founded several biotechnology companies with world-class institutions, including the University of Paris, M.I.T., and Yale University. From 1998 to 2004, Professor Strosberg was the Chairman and CEO of a company he co-founded with the Pasteur Institute. Since coming to Scripps in 2005, he has created several companies in Florida with Scripps technology, the latest of which is Protix Therapeutics.
