JOB SUMMARY: The Manager of Promotions & Sales Support will be responsible for executing plans that consistently build DHL
Express reputation, preference, trial and usage of the DHL Express suite of products and services among current and potential
customers. As such, in cooperation with regional and global guidelines, the core workflow responsibilities and deliverables of the
position include product launch promotions, e-marketing/database marketing, customer retention incentives, lead generation, and
sales support initiatives, in addition to providing qualitative metrics and quarterly ROI analysis for promotional and PR
performance.
The ideal candidate must be a hands-on self starter, independently resourceful, a team player with an entrepreneurial spirit who
understands business strategy and delivers tactically in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision, yet operate within
regional and global guidelines. A proven track record in direct marketing, product promotions, customer-relationship marketing,
sponsorship activation within a multi-country, multi-lingual (Spanish, Portuguese, English, French) environment is a must.
The geographical scope of responsibility includes Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada and the USA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Reports to the Regional Director of Marketing Communications and is directly responsible for engaging with the country sales
teams, Marketing Communication network members and agency/vendor partners in his/her country(ies) of responsibility.
•Leads the daily execution of the priorities and actions included in the Marketing Plan, based on programs to increase preference,
lead generation, trial and usage of our products and competitive position, within country(ies) of responsibility.
•Hands-on involvement of all aspects and operational details of regional marketing communication projects, campaigns and salespromotion
activities to drive awareness, lead generation, customer usage and loyalty in his/her country(ies) of responsibility.
Provides guidance to countries when necessary.
•Coordinates production and distribution of marketing communication and sales support materials in his/her country(ies) of
responsibility.
•Maintains country involvement and input throughout the process.
•Supports the regional customer retention loyalty program and the tactical applications necessary to promote it across his/her
country(ies) of responsibility in multiple languages.
•Directs and activates all aspects of DHL Express sales support materials at industry exhibits, tradeshows and conferences.
•Manages the development, maintenance and metrics of customer database marketing and provides a process and template for
his/her country(ies) of responsibility to follow.
•Ensures all in-country teams within his/her responsibility comply with DHL standards and guidelines. Provides country(ies) of
responsibility with standardized marketing, guidelines, key messages, materials, templates, and program/plan framework.
•Regularly scans competitor communication and promotional activity and proactively makes recommendations to protect, defend
or enhance DHL’s image. Implements proactive BTL tactics to defend the brand, when necessary.
•Applies measurement techniques to report ROI on a quarterly and annual basis.
•Manages, models and implements best practices which can be showcased to regional management and global.
•Manages vendor and agency activity by providing agency direction and guidance for success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Master’s Degree in marketing, advertising or communications.
•Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese and French, a plus
•A minimum of 7-10 years' previous experience managing product promotions, customer relationship marketing, sales-support
campaigns roll-outs both at the foreign country domestic level and multi-country/sub-regional locations with measurable results.
•Demonstrated capabilities in working effectively with cross-functional teams and in-country marketing and sales units.
•Leading-edge, clever and persuasive thinking, with both an analytical and creative point-of-view.
•Desire and ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects concurrently.
•Strong project management skills and commitment to results.
•Excellent written communication, editing and presentation skills.
•Professional presence and demeanor.

9.Ability to remain current on market and business trends affecting DHL’s business.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. As required by position, travel for short or extended periods of time to other
DHL business locations, vendors and other business-related destinations.
