DailyCandy Miami - Urban Planning‏

Urban Planning
Urbanite Bistro Opens

Gentrification is not all bad.

While Willy the Wino may add flavor to the neighborhood, so does boar tenderloin.

So with open arms, we welcome Urbanite Bistro, housed amid charming parking lots and quaint crack dens in the up-and-coming Media and Entertainment District.

The restaurant (opening tomorrow for friends and family and to the masses on Thursday) is divided into three areas: an intimate front bar, dining room, and casual back bar. Keeping it urbane: The walls are adorned with a rotating selection of local artists.

The European-inspired menu includes all-natural meats (braised short ribs, aged strip steak), burgers, veggie options (pad Thai, miso-glazed tofu), and local fish, as well as a small plates section.

Along with 30 wines by the glass and 25 beers, tasty specialty cocktails abound.

Here comes the neighborhood.
