Future Classic Festival
What: The one-night event includes performances by N.E.R.D., ANR, and more, plus sweet skateboard demos, break-dance competitions, and gift bags.
Why: The future is now.

Disco Baby Supper Club
What: DJ Mark Leventhal turns Swedish brasserie Badrutt’s Place into a retro discotheque as diners boogie to ’70s beats.
Why: Can you dig it?
When: Sat., 6 p.m.-midnight.

Movies at The Spa at Icon Brickell
What: On Saturdays the spa screens flicks (this week, Casablanca) and serves popcorn and cupcakes in its 30-person theater.
Why: Phillipe Starck-designed movie seats.
When: Sat., 7:30 p.m.

Spit-Polishing a Starless Sky/Outer Space
What: Two exhibits made up of works by up-and-coming Miami artists are superimposed willy-nilly, creating one postmodern piece.
Why: For art’s sake.
When: Thru Oct. 5. Opening party, Sat., 6-9 p.m.
