First Algonquin Wine Tasting This Thursday 1/24/08 at 7:30 PM: Old World-vs-New World Wines

Please note that we are doing the tasting today THURSDAY the 24th!

Is your wine palate traditional or more modern? Or perhaps you have an "easy" palate. Come find out if yours is traditional, modern or easy this Thursday from 7:30-9:30 PM for the first Algonquin wine tasting.

The W Wine Boutique, at 1328 Alton Road, has graciously offered to pull together a blind wine tasting to sample old world wines against their new world contemporaries.

The wines we will be sampling are:
Chardonnay
Macon(south of Burgundy) Vs. Sonoma Cutrer 'Les Pierries"
Pinot Noir
Luigi Bosca Argentina Vs. Marcel Diess Alsace
Cabernet
Cocodrilo Argentina Vs. Rollan de By Medoc, Bordeaux

The cost of the tasting and appetizers, supplied by Cafe Maurice, is $35, which you will pay at the register when you arrive to receive your wine glass and rating sheet. Should your traditional, modern or easy palate fall madly in love with any of the sampled wines, you can purchase them on Thursday night at 10% discount.

Please RSVP to bethpersons @ gmail.com by Thursday at noon if you will be attending so that I can alert the Wine Boutique as to how many we will be.
