It's that time of the year, ghouls and boys – when we fill our sugary caloric voids with candy corn, ladies show off their naughty sides, and everything's just a tad bit more spooktacular. Halloween is here, folks, but don't start calling the Ghostbusters just yet; this Weekly's got some costume tricks and party treats to get you ready for some of the creepiest Hallows' Eve broohahas in Miami. Bwahaha!

Same old, Same Grove? There is still no excuse for not looking sinister, or at least like a sexy vampire airline stewardess. Once you've got an idea (or seven), head to your closest costume shop or vintage store to score. Cindy W stocks up on throwback finds at Miami Twice, where you're guaranteed to find a retro chic or oh-so-mod outfit perfect for the Return to New Year's Eve,1967 party. Roaring '20s more your speed? Pick up a flapper ensemble and head over the causeway to go back in time to swank and class with Erin E at the Florida Room's Prohibiton Party. Brendan O' Hara and the Big Bounce will have you swingin' and fox trottin' all night long... can Dorothy Parker-esque speakeasiness be far behind?

Or sink your fangs into a cult classic at the special Rocky Horror Picture Show fundraiser or Miami Beach Cinemateque, where they'll be screening the original Nosferatu with a live performance by cellist Aaron Merritt. Eerie! But if you really want to get those chills running down your spine, sign up for the official Ghosts of Miami tour at City Cemetery, where you and other brave souls will learn about all kinds of things that go bump in the night!

Too scared to step outside? Then stay home and pass out sweet treats to the kiddies. Ginger H and Felicia W prefer their peppermint patties on the frozen side, while Sabrina C enjoys picking up a box of festive Halloween brownies from the Brownie Factory. Between doorbell rings, practice your pumpkin carving skills while watching a stack of thrillers from Lion Video. Can't decide between Freddy, Chucky or Pinhead? Yelpers are screaming about their favorite frightening flicks, just dying to share, really.
