SCALEAfrica - Forging ahead‏

We are forging ahead with our efforts to restore the Chiutika Basic School in Mfuwe, Zambia. Funds raised since we founded SCALEAfrica in June 2007 have reached $31,000; good progress towards our ultimate goal of $150,000 to fully rehabilitate this school. Your support has been critical to our progress and we are deeply appreciative.

We returned in September from a trip to Mfuwe, where we received final construction approvals, selected a contractor and identified materials suppliers. We are now beginning construction of the new 4 classroom block, designed and funded entirely by SCALEAfrica at a total cost of $60,000.

As most of our current funds will be used for the first part of construction, we need your help to raise an additional $30,000 to fully fund this 4 classroom block. SCALEAfrica will also be providing blackboards and ultimately furniture for an existing 2 classroom block which is in the final stages of restoration.

Please consider making a donation to SCALEAfrica now. It is a great opportunity to make a direct and tangible lasting impact on a deeply impoverished community.

Please visit our website, www.scaleafrica.org, for details of our recent trip, progress photos and full drawings of the planned 4 classroom block. Donations can be made directly online or email us for other methods. Gift donations can also be made on someone else’s behalf.

Thank you in advance for your continued generosity. We couldn’t do it without you!

Best Wishes & Happy Holidays,
