Rum Don’t Walk
After the infamous mango-flavored mojitos of ’05, your friends dubbed you DJ Cocktail. Your drink-mixing skills were legendary (even if your friends’ nicknames weren’t).
Put your talents to the test at Bacardi B-Live. On April 19, the free, 25-country concert series lands at Miami’s Bayfront Park, bringing with it the Bacardi Avenue of Cocktails.
In what may be the perfect combination of man and machine, concert attendees (21 or older, of course) can use specialized computers to create their own signature drink recipe and then hand it over to a capable mixologist who will create it on the spot for their drinking pleasure.
Along with the funk, Bacardi’s bringing the music. Highlighting both local and international artists, this year’s ubercool lineup of diverse, innovative talent includes Groove Armada, Deep Dish, Dave Navarro, and more.
Go for a cocktail and stay to watch master spinner DJ Skribble light up the turn tables.
Can’t make it to the event? Check out the live stream at myspace.com/blivemiami, which will also be on demand for 48 hours after the event.
After all, you’ve always loved a good mixer.
