Dir Sales NEEDED - Online Advertising‏

We are conducting the executive search for three Directors of Sales with experience selling online advertising to executives at advertising agencies and/or brand managers at big brands. Need someone to build each of the following areas: East, West, & Central U.S. (New York City, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.) Our client only wants to hire the best and is prepared to reward and motivate his “A” players. He is willing and able to put together the right package for the right candidates. There will be no cap on commissions. Also, the company is growing quickly, so there is a strong possibility of advancement based on performance. Company has only closed a Series B at this point, so it is an excellent opportunity to get in early and make a lot of money building a new territory. Need someone that is very hungry and wants to make a lot of money in the next 3+ years.

Initially, this is an individual contributor position. However, the company is growing quickly so there is a possibility of advancement based on performance. Need someone that is very results driven.

LOCATION: Need someone to build each of the following areas: East, West & Central U.S. (New York City, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.)

COMPENSATION: Our client only wants to hire the best and is prepared to reward and motivate his “A” players. He is willing and able to put together the right package for the right candidates. There will be no cap on commissions. The compensation package will include a base salary, commission/bonus plan, stock options, and a full benefits package. Client wants someone who is very hungry and confident in their sales abilities.

MANAGEMENT STYLE/CORPORATE CULTURE: This position reports to the SVP of Advertising Sales. He is very big on delegation. He believes in hiring the best people, then providing them with clear incentives and responsibilities. Focus is on results. Need someone who thrives under tough timeline pressure and the need to show pragmatic, measurable results. He wants someone who knows how to work effectively as part of a team by building respect and trust. Corporate culture places a premium on achievement v. politics. Company treats people fairly and minimizes internal conflicts. This is an open, entrepreneurial environment that solicits and appreciates the input from all employees.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have someone with recent and significant experience managing a personal quota selling online advertising to executives at advertising agencies and/or brand managers at big brands.
Must already have significant experience closing deals with executives at advertising agencies and/or brand managers at big brands.
Prefer candidates with a history of quota achievement.
Need a hunter who will be hands-on and can just roll up their sleeves and get the job done. Need someone who is experienced at driving the process from start to finish. Need someone who can drive the deal from initiating the dialogue, to managing the process, to negotiating the terms, and closing the agreement. However, need someone that is comfortable asking for help and bringing in other members of the team to help close the deal when necessary.
Prefer candidates with experience working in a fast growing company, dynamic environment, a pure startup, startup within a large organization, spin-off, and/or in an emerging market. Need someone who has a strong entrepreneurial drive and spirit. Prefer someone who has helped an organization grow from nominal revenues to phenomenal revenues within a relatively short period of time.
