Title: SVP Strategic Alliances

Primary Scope:

The SVP, Strategic Alliances is one of the top sales executive within the National Sponsorship Alliances organization and will work as part of a sales team of other senior executives. This individual will manage sales strategy and will be responsible for creating and selling branded, high-impact music marketing programs across Live Nation’s 10,000 plus concerts, 74 + venues and high-profile Artists including Madonna, Shakira, Jay Z, Nickelback and U2. This successful sales executive is responsible for setting the sales strategy as it relates to the development of sponsorship and alliance opportunities with consumer marketing and brand advertisers. Growth projection for this area has increased by 50% year over year with similar future projected targeted growth.


Functional Responsibility:

• Create, package and sell solution-based music marketing platforms; 


• Meet or exceed revenue and key account goals; 


• Focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with important decision makers at client marketing companies and their respective advertising agencies; 

• Work with our creative services team to develop presentations that creatively and distinctly differentiate and communicate unique assets to targeted prospects; 


• Educate/ position Live Nation assets and marketing capabilities to the sponsor/ advertiser marketplace; demonstrate the branding values of live music to create unique marketing value with Live Nation’s assets; 


• Works with key decision makers to initiate, develop, and secure sponsorship and alliance opportunities with leading organizations for purposes of cross-promotion and leading edge advertising and sales campaigns.
• Manages the client interaction and structuring and closing the deal;
• Works in collaboration with internal and external management and client to propose and position strategic opportunities and presentations for new business;
• Works with finance team to deliver sales forecasts, projections and revenue generating initiatives to manage against expected targets and deliverables;

Experience and Qualifications:


• Must have a bachelors degree, and/or MBS preferred;
• 10 -15 + years heading up senior sales strategy group either within a Fortune 100 company or from a strong consultative, strategic sales and marketing organization;
• The ideal candidate will be an experienced sponsorship sales / business development executive with a demonstrated track record selling large scale strategic entertainment and/or sports sponsorship packages.
• The individual must be a “doer,” comfortable working with a solution-based, long lead sales process, performing within a fast-paced environment and building integrated marketing platforms. 


• 
A well developed marketing/strategic orientation to the selling process; 


• Known for a resourceful entrepreneurial approach to new business development and generating revenue; 


• A reputation as a "go-getter" and “Rainmaker; “ 


• Solid relationships with senior level marketing; 


• Key agency contacts with media buyers, planners and senior media management; 


• Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture relationships and work effectively at all levels of the decision process; 


• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities with excellent oral and written communication skills; 


• A creative salesperson with the ability to open doors and a demonstrated track record closing innovative sponsorships and/or integrated marketing programs; 


• High energy and a personality that thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment; 


• Demonstrated high-level relationship building and negotiating skills; 


• Passionate about Music.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior level sales / business development executive and a collaborative and strategic leader with a proven track record of success in building business sales strategy initiatives for expanded and rapid growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for steering and managing the strategic direction of all opportunistic deals that have wide scale revenue growth and marketing potential. Will be responsible for building key insights and metrics drivers to enable the clear direction and growth ability of revenue streams across multi-platforms. Consults on all strategic deals and advises on sustainability and viability of deals as it relates to the overall benefit of the company. Works closely with internal NA Music divisions, Marketing, Touring, and Artists Services to understand the scope and breadth of opportunities available to devise a strong and cohesive strategic revenue plan.
