Spiegelworld Brings Moulin Rouge to MIA

Spiegelworld Brings Moulin Rouge to MIA

Remember the visual splendor that was Baz Luhrman’s Moulin Rouge? Take that, subtract Nicole Kidman’s vocals, add some sock puppets with dirty mouths and the warm Miami climate, and you have Spiegelworld, the world's most beautiful traveling venue.

Located in Collins Park on the beach at South Beach (21st Street & Collins Avenue), the intimate 350-seat Spiegeltent, with its opulent decor of mirrors and brocade, is THE venue to sip cocktails and see two of the hottest and most visually stimulating shows in town, Absinthe and Gazillionaire’s Late Night Lounge.

Spiegelworld’s Absinthe — named after the psychedelic liquor that used to be illegal in the states — blends fairground attractions with songs and spectacles. Circus-like performances from skilled artisans, mixed with sexual innuendoes and over the top craziness make for a night you will not soon forget.

If you’re not down for a ride with the Green Fairy, you can see Gazillionaire’s Late Night Lounge… a show that features more comedy than performance as Gazillionaire and his trusty sidekick — a doll named Penny — drop ballsy and brash jokes for your ultimate entertainment.

Once the show is over, sit back with a cocktail and enjoy the view in Spiegelworld’s Green Fairy Garden, snuggle up in a booth at The Raleigh Oasis Restaurant, or dance the night away with Spiegelworld’s eclectic DJ sessions every Tuesday thru Sunday night.

Word to the wise: seats are first come, first served and if you sit close enough, the performers will engage you during the show. So get there early…if you’re down for mingling with the raunchy sock puppets, that is!
