The Miami Beach Festival of the Arts will celebrate its 34th anniversary in 2008 by continuing its relationship with Coldwell Banker, title sponsor of the event. This signature community event showcases the juried artwork of over 150 artists from across the nation, exhibiting paintings, sculpture, glass, ceramics, jewelry, and photography.The festival also features music and entertainment by South Florida performers, an international food court and plenty to do for the kids, including a children’s gallery with hands-on arts & crafts. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Romance In A Can presents its second annual romantic film festival, sparkling with twenty five engaging European independent feature-length romantic films never before seen in this country!

Produced locally by Red Chemistry Inc., Romance In A Can is the only romantic film festival in the United States! Romance In A Can pairs two weeks of screenings and special events at appropriate venues throughout Miami and the beaches, concurrent with a free film series for students at Florida International University. Participating locations include the Colony Theater, the Alliance Française, the Miami Beach Cinematheque, Books & Books Coral Gables, Byron Carlyle Theater, Maison d’Azur at the Anglers Hotel, Circa 39 and Coconut Groves’ Mutiny Hotel. For the concert of February 12, violinist Giora Schmidt is actually playing the Mendholsson concerto, a wonderful piece that most will recognize.
