Health Reform
Om Garden's Vegan Cooking Classes

Fellow Americans: Change has come to the American diet. The voice of the bacon cheeseburger has been joined by that of seitan and tofu. Crème brulees stand beside fruit-and-nut pies.

To those who say, “We can not sacrifice meat, eggs, and dairy without feeling deprivation,” we say, “Yes, vegan.”

To those who ask how, we suggest Om Garden’s twice-monthly, 100 percent organic, vegan, and raw food cooking classes. Each three-hour session includes a demonstration on preparing an internationally themed meal sans animal products.

Next up: Italian dishes like stuffed mushrooms, tomato basil soup, manicotti (pine nut cheese wrapped in kale), and lasagna (made with zucchini noodles). Instructors offer information on nutrition, transitioning to a vegan diet, and different uses for every recipe — your new pesto sauce goes great with everything.

The class gets to taste all the dishes.

A school program everyone will support.
