New restaurant: Rosa Mexicano

Rosa Mexicano opened. The restaurant is doing a Chocolate Festival along with sweepstakes.

Rosa Mexicano presents its annual Chocolate Festival featuring menu additions inspired by Susana Trilling. Susana, best known for her cooking school in Oaxaca, Mexico and her PBS series, “Seasons of my Heart,” joined Rosa Mexicano this fall as its culinary advisor. The Chocolate Festival takes place through October 17 and offers menu additions including Crema de Calabaza Tamala Asada con Tostaditas de Chipotle y Chocolate, cream of roasted butternut squash soup with chipotle chocolate tostadas, Filete de Res con Hongos Silvestres Boletus, Vino Tinto y Chocolate, filet mignon sautéed with porcini mushrooms, red wine and chocolate sauce and Capas de Helado y Pastel de Chocolate Dessert, layered chocolate cake with prickly pear, lime and guanábana ice creams. Rosa Mexicano will be holding a contest in which three grand prize winners will receive an all-inclusive long weekend (December 6-9, 2007) for two at Seasons of My Heart Cooking School in Oaxaca, Mexico where they will cook with Rosa Mexicano's Culinary Advisor, Susana Trilling.
