In this position, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for:
- Interface with the division’s subsidiary Controllers, Group Controller, and Group VP to review and analyze each of the subsidiaries Cognos Monthly Operating Report and additional supporting schedules
- Assist with and facilitate the preparation of the annual subsidiary Budgets.
- Work closely with the VP Finance in analyzing financial data, looking for trends, correlations, and drivers necessary in making strategic decisions.
- Develop managerial reports and analyses that help drive Sr. Management decision making.
- Participate in ongoing and anticipated acquisition due diligence and special projects with the Senior Management Team.
- Work closely with Corporate IT staff to roll out a custom ERP application that will be installed during 2007-2010 (with particular emphasis on the financial modules).
- Work with Corporate HR staff in analyzing compensation strategies and insurance/ retirement benefits, to ensure we negotiate the lowest cost, most competitive benefit programs.
- Work on special projects for the SVP Finance & Administration, VP Finance, and VP of HR/OD.
This position reports to the VP of Corporate Finance.
Requirements/Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
- Excellent analytical ability and a strong work ethic.
- Must have solid computer skills, particularly with Excel and database query tools
- Experience building financial models and analyses. Work well with others and be flexible in handling multiple tasks
- Must be able to learn new tasks quickly
- Experience working in a large Corporate Finance department a plus.
- Familiarity with Cognos Finance/Consolidation a plus
ERP systems implementation and/or design experience a plus
