Food 4 Haiti l Toys 4 Kids l X-mas Events

Christmas is approaching and the desire to give back and/or reach out to the community is even bigger this time of the year.

In case you would like to participate, but you don’t know where to go or what to do, I have put together a list of initiatives that you can get involved in.

Donations:

* Food for Haiti: Haiti has been going through some tough times. People are starving to death, especially children and the elderly. A friend from American Airlines is collecting food and used clothes for them. Please contact me if you would like to donate.

· Toys for unfortunate kids: the Children's Behavioral Health Department is hosting its Annual Holiday Party. Due to the state of the economy, and the effects it has had on all of us, they have not been able to receive as many toy donations as usual. Please bring a toy/gift for children ages 0-17, male and female. For more details please read e-mail attached.

Subject: FW: CHI Children's Holiday Toy Drive

On December 17, the Children's Behavioral Health Department is hosting its Annual Holiday Party. Due to the state of the economy and current rough economic times for all, we have not been able to receive as many toy donations as usual. We are asking CHI staff to bring an unwrapped toy/gift for children ages 0-17, male and female. We will be distributing angels representing the clients (age and sex) that we are currently serving so a gift can be purchased for that particular child. You can collect an angel from the Behavioral Health staff.

We will be placing wrapped boxes in Behavioral Health Administration and Children's Department Coordinator's office (Rosie's) for the toy drop off

Any questions, feel free to call Rosie at extension 4061.

Let's open our hearts during this Holiday Season for those less fortunate.
