New World Symphony event Save the Date Nov 1
Thank you for suporting New World Symphony this past year. As a member of Friends, we want to provide you with the opportunity to see the New World Fellows play a classical program, the way a symphony is supposed to be experienced, on a stage with incredible acoustics and a 700- seat Theatre.
This Strings event is the first event of the Season. The “Strings” concert will feature the New World Fellows and a program that includes a new work by Behzad Ranjbaran, the Vaughn Williams Concerto for Oboe and Strings, and an arrangement of the Brahms First String Sextet for String Orchestra. Joel Smirnoff, violinist of the Juilliard String Quartet will be conducting. Information on Mr. Ranjbaran can be found at http://www.behzadranjbaran.com/. After the concert, please stroll to the Sagamore Hotel for complimentary Moleca cocktails from 10:30 pm-12:30 am. This is a nice spot to mingle with your Friends and the New World Fellows.
Our Season Launch Party is Saturday, Nov. 10 at the beautiful Hotel Victor. The evening will showcase an ensemble performance under the Stars. This evening is exclusive for members-only. Please refer to the attached save-the-date card for a listing of all events in Miami & NYC. I have also attached the Friends brochure, with respective membership benefits and an application to join. You can also find this information at www.nws.edu/friends.
I hope you will also consider rejoining and upgrading your membership to ensure a spot at the VIP Winter Party on Dec. 1 or Dec. 7 in Miami. Please note that you can make four quarterly payments, for your convenience.
Again, thank you for continuing to help New World Symphony & Friends of NWS evolve!
