Davy Jones in Aladdin "Panto" Show

Pop icon Davy Jones of The Monkees stars in this holiday season's hilarious musical extravaganza Aladdin, presented by Jude Parry's acclaimed Gold Coast Theatre Company. Performed in the classic British Panto style, the Theater Company offers a comedic, over-the-top fairytale, packed with slapstick, topical gags and audience participation. The entire family will enjoy the magical tale filled with danger, greed, honesty and romance, a despicable villain, a charming prince and a beautiful princess. Performances are at 3 and 7 p.m., and tickets are $15. Jazz at MOCA

Begin your New Year's celebration early with Jazz at MOCA featuring steel drum artist Doug Walker, a Miami Beach native, whose sound combines jazz, salsa, reggae and R&B. Walker's inimitable style and artistry creates a new sound on the steel drums, and his special technique results in a fuller sound and harmony. His latest CD, Jazz Pan, is a collection of hard-hitting fresh compositions in the vein of "Steps Ahead" and "Chick Corea." MOCA galleries will be open from 7 to 10 p.m. you can tour the extraordinary exhibition, Jorge Pardo: House, which features over 60 works presented as actual rooms of a house. Free and open to the public, Jazz at MOCA is sponsored by Starbuck Coffee Company and the City of North Miami.

OceanDance

The nationally renowned Wylliams/Henry Danse Theatre of Kansas City (pictured) performs at OceanDance to close out the year 2007. This 10-member, multi-cultural ensemble is known for its bold and athletic style that is hailed by critics as "captivating, exciting and powerful." OceanDance is presented by the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood and sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency. The free performances, followed by a laser light show, are Sunday at 8 and Monday at 9:30 p.m. Limited VIP packages are available for both nights offering preferred seating and on New Year's Eve favors and champagne.
