Thursday, December 27 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Join Miami Dolphins' Defensive Tackle Vonnie Holliday for an exclusive Celebrity Bowling Tournament to benefit Reach for the Stars Foundation. Open to only 100 guests, the event includes non-stop food and drinks and a chance to bowl with an NFL football player. Your general ticket ($125) covers food and drinks as spectators. For $250, you play in the tournament, have access to the VIP lounge area and are promoted on the overhead projectors throughout the night. For an extra $100, a "thank my lucky stars" donation, you receive a vintage bowling shirt signed by Vonnie. Reach for the Stars Foundation is dedicated to helping those afflicted with Cystic Fibrosis and their families.

Deering Estate's Holiday Wonderland

Through December

Tour the elegant and historic houses at The Deering Estate as they come alive with holiday accents and decorations. The holiday decorating effort is an annual tradition and the special project of the District XII Garden Clubs, the UF Miami-Dade Extension, the FAFCS District and the International Ikebana Society. Hundreds of yards of ribbon and garland, handmade wreaths and thousands of handmade ornaments have been used to decorate the Richmond Cottage and Stone House. You can explore on your own or take a guided tour held daily at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
