News from the Democratic party- jobs, rallies, meetings

M-D Democratic Party December Meeting and Holiday Gathering this Monday!

The next DEC Membership meeting will be held on Monday Dec.10th at 7PM at the American Legion off Biscayne Blvd., 6445 NE 7th Ave., Miami.



We will have a short meeting at which time we will be honoring our great Public Defender, Bennett Brummer, and some other key Democrats. The meeting will be followed by a Holiday Party with some FREE finger foods and "Holiday Cheer"! Be sure to join us!

2. Pro-immigration Reform Rally on Sunday, December 9th from 4 to 7:30 pm, in front of UM BankUnited Center around the University Metrorail station and US1. This is part of the Pro-Immigrant Legalization Alliance of Florida, a coalition of progressive, non-partisan and the Democratic Hispanic Caucus of Florida who will be asking the Republican presidential candidates participating in the Univision debate, to support a fair immigration reform, family reunification, and to stop deportation raids.

Some of the organizations that are part of the Alliance are CODI (Center for Immigrant Orientation), Coalicion Colombiana, Casiopeia (Colombian student immigrant organization), LULAC, BAUNIC (Nicaraguan pro-immigration organization) American Friends Service Community, Organizacion Hondurena Francisco Morazan (Honduran pro-immigration organization), Unity Coalition (Hispanic LBTG organization), Hispanic Coalition, Democratic Hispanic Caucus of Florida and all its county chapters, Miami-Dade Veterans for Peace, Democracy For America Miami-Dade (DFAM).
