Univision is headquartered in New York, with network operations in Miami and television stations and sales offices in major cities throughout the United States.

The Position:
Univision is seeking an experienced business development professional to lead this new area for the company. The successful candidate will have an established record of success in increasingly responsible strategic, relationship-driven and results-oriented posts.

This individual will develop business development plans for the company, focusing on dramatic revenue growth via new initiatives leveraging Univision’s capabilities and brand. The candidate will be passionate about turning strategic plans into practical business opportunities resulting in revenue and will have business relationships that are directly leverage-able.

Specifically, the ideal candidate will be:
o A mature, savvy media professional with 7+ years of related experience, including deep internet experience.

o Comfortable with high level strategic planning, business development, and operational execution.

o Adept at managing up and laterally (extensive daily discussions and collaborative efforts with other senior staff ensuring that plans mesh with the needs of applicable departments).

o An aggressive self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced environment with limited resources; flexible and able to handle multiple competing priorities.

o A strong creative thinker and communicator; well organized, disciplined and detail-oriented.

o Spanish proficiency a plus.

Responsibilities:
o Develop and execute strategic plans to access new revenue streams in conjunction with manager.

o Vet incoming business development inquiries, facilitate sales force new business activity, negotiate deals, oversee contracting, and manage post execution relationships.

o Proactively provide market insight and recommendations to senior management.

Education:
A Bachelors degree is required and an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is ideal.
