BE THE FUTURE -- LEADERSHIP MIAMI ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS‏

Leadership Miami is commemorating its 30th anniversary and we are celebrating with a historic partnership with Nova Southeastern University through which this year's Leadership Miami class will receive seven graduate credits towards the Leadership Certificate or any of the Masters Programs offered by the Fischler School of Education and Human Services. This opportunity is worth over $3,000.00 and will significantly shorten the length of the Masters Program. Please refer to the attached document for more information.

Built on the strong foundation laid by Bill Colson thirty years ago, Leadership Miami has grown to become one of the largest and most successful programs in the nation. Today, many of our community's leaders in the governmental and private sectors are graduates of Leadership Miami and consider the program an important event in their early careers. As a Leadership Miami graduate and long time supporter of our community, we ask you to please help us identify and cultivate the next generation of leaders by spreading the word that Leadership Miami is accepting application for the this year's program chaired by Sherry L. Ulsh, Market Account Director at Burger King. Simply forward this email to your contacts and encourage them to learn more about their community and how they can make a difference. Application deadline is October 14th. Application attached.

Also, please consider a donation to the silent auction, held during Leadership Miami's Opening Conference, October 24th & 25th, 2008. Your contribution will benefit our Youth Leadership Miami program designed to involve students from both public and private high schools in their local community. In return for your tax deductible donation, you'll be recognized as a supporter in Leadership Miami's printed material throughout the year.

Last but not least, the Alumni Affairs Committee has hit the ground running. Leadership Miami has a group website on Linkedin. Be sure to sign-up at www.linkedin.com and search "Leadership Miami Alumni"-David Restainer. If you are interested in serving in the alumni committee, please let us know and don't forget to keep us up to date with any changes in your contact information by e-mailing us at leadership@miamichamber.com

Thank you for your support. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Marisa Feito Sherry Ulsh

Chair, Leadership Miami 2008-2009 Program Chair
