Hello! My name is Teresa Ronquillo and I am the President of the Florida International University Chapter of Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society. We are a society focused on career developmnet. I am currently helping coordinate a networking event for Wednesday March 12, 2008, and would like to target the event to communications majors and people interested in the communications field. In doing so, I am requesting your help in perhaps volunteering to be a guest speaker at this great event, or even referring us to someone in the field who might be able to volunteer.> > The aspiration of the event is to educate students about the importance of networking in their field and to encourage them to begin taking the right steps in their career to help them achieve their goals. In the past three semesters we have had a general Networking Event, a Medical Networking Event, a Law Networking Event, and a Psychology Networking Event, all of which have been tremendous successes. We plan to continue the trend with this year's Communications Networking Event and would love for you to be a part of it.> > The event will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Graham Center Faculty Club on Wednesday March 12, 2008. We provide dinner for all attendees and thank you gifts for our guest speakers. We request that speeches be between 7-10 minutes long and focus on the topics of networking, taking initiative, staying involved in student organizations, including any other specific stories or anecdotes related to your career development and success.> > Please consider being a guest speaker at our event! Your knowledge and experience in the communications field would be a truly beneficial addition to our program. Your consideration is greatly appreciated!!!> > > >
