Community Classes in
Full "Spring Swing"



CPR/First Aid Class- (March 20th 9:00-5:00) Get a 2-year American Heart Association certification in CPR, First Aid andAED training. $75 per person(Membership discounts apply) email kate@shakealegmiami.org register.

Bayside Yoga- reconnect with your breath and the Bay's beauty at Yoga on the Bayview Deck. Every Tues/Thurs. No reservation necessary! Contact watersports@shakealegmiami.org for more details.



Adult Powerboat Class "revs" up at Shake-A-Leg: classes started on Saturday teaching students how to operate a variety of motorcraft comfortably and safely. Participants will be certified by US Powerboat and NASBLA and will be able to operate the Shake-A-Leg fleet of safety vessels to support regattas, classes and other events on the water. The next class will start April 12th, contact Kate for more details.


Intro to Windsurf Class(Youth/Adult): we have a hot new group of students in the Windsurfing class this month. Combine surfing with sailing and "shred it up!" The next class starts April 13th- contact Kate more information


Youth Intro to Dinghy Class: our intro sailing classes are full for this month. The next class will begin April 12th, contact Ryan ryan@shakealegmiami.org to register!

Teen Intermediate Sail Class: Several Shake teens have moved onto more advanced sailing skills. This class will prepare students for mentoring in the summer camp sailing program. To learn more about the next class starting April 12th, contact ryan@shakealegmiami.org.


Youth Dinghy Racing Club: a great way to brush up on your racing skills. Participants meet every Sunday and we accept regiatrations on a rolling basis. Contact Ryan to sign up!

Community Programs

Moonlight Sail- Sat, March 22nd, 7:30-10 pm. Spend an evening with the stars Shake-A-Leg style. This is often a sold out event so register early if you don't want to miss the boat! Register online.

T Tune in...Oprah's Big Give, Sunday, March 23rd, 9 pm, Channel 10. It's a competition unlike anything you've ever seen before. Watch as 10 very determined contestants try to change the lives of total strangers in the most dramatic ways -- all competing to become the very first "Biggest Giver!" Mark Your calendars-As the "Big Give" lands in Miami! See what happens to Shake-A-Leg Miami!

Kimya Dawson Concert

Tues, March 25, 7 pm

Enjoy her beautiful music right in our own Coast Guard Hangar. Dawson's innovative tunes are featured on the soundtrack for the Academy Award winning movie "Juno." She has developed quite a following and we are expecting the show to sell out! The concert will be a benefit for Shake-A-Leg's programs.
