The Concert Association of Florida launches their new Miami Pops Orchestra, under the direction of Jose Antonio Molina, with a special project: Pink Martini in concert. The 12-piece group plays a genre-busting mix of styles ranging from Brazilian sambas to Latin jazz to Afro-Cuban rumba to sultry cabaret. The aesthetic is jet-set, vintage-chic, cerebral, and more than a little campy.
