Tuccia new shoe store

TUCCIA di Capri graces South Beach with nostalgic glamour. recalling the timeless style of Hollywood icons such as Ingrid Bergman, Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren, who were all devoted fans of the Capri style sandal.

TUCCIA’s sandals are meticulously crafted to the fashionista’s foot. Cobblers on site walk customers through their color choices offering an array classic and modern styles. The styles, which are available on three classic soles—the flat, the wedge and the kitten heel, are showcased in innovative vignette displays from “Palm Beach” to “Goddess” themes. They also present traditional styles named after the women who inspired and wore them. Simply named “The Jackie” after Jackie Onasis, the basic t-strap is available in every shade of the spectrum, from ultramarine to scarlet red. “The Helena,” named for Helen of Troy, features hand-woven interlacing straps, evoking the style of a Greek Goddess. Created in the 1950’s for Princess Maria Gabriella of Savoy, “Olivia” embraces the foot with two straps shaped as delicate olive leaves.

Acquiring the coveted secrets to quality craftsmanship was no easy feat for owners/ex-models Tove Nord and Terri Coleman, who personally searched the island of Capri until finally meeting maestro cobbler Vincenzo Faiella. As the last generation in one of Capri’s foremost families of shoemakers, Vincenzo generously bestowed his beautiful art upon the ladies, and TUCCIA was born. Created in the salon by the owners and other skilled cobblers trained on the Amalfi Coast, TUCCIA’s sandals are ready in less than 25 minutes.

As stunning as the sandals themselves, the salon located just off of Lincoln Road oozes a chic St. Tropez vibe with music by famed Villa Romana DJ Bruno Salaün. The design recalls the “Modern Baroque” style pioneered in the early 1900’s by interior designer Dorothy Draper. Calling to mind the retro chic salons of Europe, customers lounge and sip Bellinis on vintage furniture including a plush chocolate-brown velvet bench. A stark contrast to most of today’s gleaming temples to luxury branding, the women of Tuccia have created a fresh, feminine and sophisticated environment.

Priced from $150 – $500 and using only the finest Italian leather, stitching, and stones, as in Capri , TUCCIA offersa a standard service on each pair of sandals, and will loosen, tighten, re-strap and re-sole as needed.

Oh My God, These are hands down the best sandals I have ever worn. I choose a gold gladiator style and the girls made them right there infront of me while I sipped whit wine. It was fabulous, they fit them to my narrow, narrow feet perfectly and the owners could'nt have been nicer ...or prettier for that matter. Just what South Beach needed...A little touch of class...and cute sandals.
