With Thanksgiving this Thursday, we thought this would be a good time to reflect on just what makes Miami so special. This Weekly is giving thanks for the sun, sea, stone crabs, and more...

A lot of us take the paradisal weather down here for granted but for some of the transplants from up north like Cynthia M, a former Mid-Westerner, the sunny days provide plenty of reasons to be grateful all year long. She also mentioned on Talk that aside from the free sunshine, she's thankful for fabulous places that are easy on the wallet like Monty's and Lincoln Road.

Michelle C is also giving big ups to the local eats, especially her favorite, the South Florida institution now on it's 96th season, Joe's Stone Crab. Thankfully for everyone, Justin P shared a secret about heading to Joe's Take Away for the same famous stone crabs minus the wait (plus a discount!). Now there's some math we can all celebrate.

Yelpers can also save some bucks and cash in on blue skies by enjoying the local beaches and parks. George M loves the outdoors and his go-to green spot is Amelia Earhart Park – with mountain biking paths, canoeing, horse back riding, a dog park and a petting zoo... try not to get lost in there. Joseluis A is all about the beautiful beaches like Bill Baggs, our "chancleta-friendly" weather 365 days a year, and the city's global vibe, represented in international flavors like Latin and Caribbean.

But perhaps nothing is more indicative of what Miami is all about than our vibrant, oftentimes raucous nightlife. Frankie and the rest of the Rat Pack ring-a-ding-dinged the night away in the Fontainebleau and now you can too at LIV and Blade, two of the latest and greatest lounges in town. Miami's glittering scene recently added a few more gems to its nightlife crown, with Louis holding court in the Gansevoort, and the King is Dead opening next door to the ever-sultry Grass Lounge.

And there you have it! From beaches to bars, and everything in between, there's so much to be grateful for in Miami. From all of us here at Yelp, we wish you a very yelpy Thanksgiving – thanks for being so darn funny, useful and cool!
