The streets are alive with the sounds of Art Basel. Now celebrating its sixth anniversary, each year seems to get bigger, better, and longer (get your mind out of the gutter). Sure you've got the namesake chief catalyst, but there's also Pulse, Scope, and NADA to stroke your brush. While you're designing your fabulous fair hoppin' schedule, remember to leave some time to eat, drink, and discuss your new favorite artists. This Weekly paints a picture of where to convene for grub during the artstravaganza.

Rise and shine and make a beeline for Kafa Cafe. Yendi V is a fan of their California omelet, and with a five dollar breakfast omelet special from 7 to 9am, what reason do you have to sleep in? But if you must snooze, and plan on easing into the day, try stepping into Out of Blue, which Martin O adores for both brunch and lunch. Well Martin, get ready for their recently-added breakfast menu, served until 10:30am, where the most expensive item rings in at just under eight dollars, including a mighty fine side of free coffee and Wi-Fi.

With all the hip happenings in the Design District, it's a good thing there are plenty of places nearby to grab a meal, from simple to gourmet. Eve C refuels at Orange Cafe while staying in the cultural groove by devouring delicious dishes named after famous artists. Yelper sandwich faves include the Degas, Frida Kahlo, and Diego Rivera – how apropos! If you ask Lazaro C, he'll assure you it's Lemoni Cafe that presses "the best panini in Miami." And for that delectably long and leisurely lunch, yelpers agree that the courtyard at hotspot Pacific Time is where it's at, especially during their Basel weekend lunches.

Your third square meal might begin at 11pm, but luckily that doesn't entail a culinary compromise. Elizabeth V loves the Buena Vista Bistro since they're open 'til midnight, the meals are cheap, and the lamb chops are to die for. Sounds like the trifecta to us, Elizabeth! If you wanna find some late nights brews, do as the neighborhood regulars, young hipsters, local artists, and Erika M do, and mosey on down to the Lost and Found Saloon. And holding special Basel-based hours, Fratelli Lyon is what Rob C has called "a promising Top 10 Miami Restaurant." Who knows, you might find yourself heading right back there in the morning for their fresh-baked pastries, fruit, fritattas and some much needed shots of Italian coffee – after all, no one sleeps during Basel!

Ginger H. on Bass Museum of Art
"The Bass is one of my favorite museums in South Florida. Each year they manage to have an exhibit so cool it keeps me yammering on and on for months after I've seen it. Heck, I saw the Marilyn Monroe exhibit years ago and I'm STILL talking about it. This museum is quaint, making it the perfect size…"
JD N. on Viernes Culturales - Cultural Fridays
"The first Friday... you can party 'til dawn in South Beach.
The second Friday, you can rest from fatigue (it may take this long to recover).
The third Friday, you can just chill with friends, go bowling, or have a sip of wine with some tapas on the side.

But... the last Fridays... you have to go to…"
Sabrina C. on Second Saturdays
"Gallery Walk Night is always a great event and a great time! You get to walk all around the "DD" (Design District) going in and out of all the art galleries, while drinking free wine, and talking to the artists themselves. You can't beat that! Did I mention the free wine at each gallery?!? And…"
