Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade continues the annual tradition of selling Christmas trees and holiday wreaths to the community, just in time for the holidays. A huge tent will mark the location where thousands of Christmas trees of all sizes and shapes will be available. The 40 year plus tradition will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade. Open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Thanksgiving Day from 9 a.m. to noon. Prices range from $65 to $450 for trees, and wreaths start at $25.

A Night in Paradise
Wednesday, November 21 at 8 p.m.
The theme of FIU Business Alumni's annual fundraising event is "Taste of Brazil," presented in cooperation with YUPA. The evening, a benefit for CHARLEE and the FIU Scholarship Program, features live music, DJ and dance performances, drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets for FIU Alum and one guest are $40 p/p; non-members are $50.

Care Resource is the beneficiary of proceeds from the "crown jewel" of HIV/AIDS fundraisers in South Florida. This multi-cultural nonprofit organization is the community's oldest and largest HIV/AIDS service organization and is dedicated to serving those suffering with or affected by HIV/AIDS. The best known event of the week features Cyndi Lauper performing live at the White Party at Villa Vizcaya on Saturday, November 24.

Arrival of Santa Claus
Friday, November 23 at 11 a.m.
Santa will be checking his list more than twice when he arrives at Westland Mall in true North Pole-style. Santa's winter wonderland, located at the Food Court, is open to all children and families interested in a bear hug from St. Nick or hearing a festive "ho, ho, ho." Starting November 23rd at 11am, photos can be snapped with Santa in order to savor his magic year round. While visiting Santa, shoppers can also enjoy special discounts on selected photo packages and children will receive their very own set of reindeer antlers and Dress-A-Santa stickers, while supplies last.

Elves-Day-Out Camp

Sign your youngster up with the Rain Forest Rangers to explore the rain forest and learn about the importance of preserving the environment. It's a day of activities, including building a jungle of your own! Miami Children's Museum will offer this camp every Saturday through December 22nd for an entire day of fun-filled, educational activities.

Holiday School Supply Drive
Through January 3
Customers are invited to drop off new, unwrapped school supplies at local Starbucks stores to support Take Stock in Children, Florida's premier mentoring and scholarship program. Recommended gifts include paper, pencils, scientific calculators, notebooks, backpacks, binders, folders, glue sticks, etc. Each Starbucks store will serve as a collection site for supplies that will help at-risk children reach academic success. More than 40,000 school supplies were collected last holiday season.
